Who we think will win
30 Rock. Even in its final season it was still hilarious and touching. We’re glad it didn’t overstay its welcome.
Lead Actress in a Comedy Series
Tina Fey, 30 Rock. We don’t think Emmy voters will pass up one last chance to give her another award for the show.
Lead Actor in a Comedy Series
Louis CK, Louie. We hope it’s not just wishful thinking but Louis could really win it this year.
Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series
Jane Krakowski, 30 Rock. She is so fucking overdue for a major award and Jenna was absolutely bonkers last season.
Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series
Ty Burrell, Modern Family. We can’t help it–if he still makes US laugh, he most certainly makes America laugh too.
Breaking Bad. Season five got crazier and more tense with each hour. Sorry, Mad Men.
Lead Actress in a Drama Series
Claire Danes, Homeland. We split the Connie-Kerry difference. None of the other four stand a chance (apologies to you, Vera Farmiga).
Lead Actor in a Drama Series
Bryan Cranston, Breaking Bad. Don’t bet against Walter White. However, Melissa feels Jeff Daniels is a potential spoiler for his obnoxious performance in The Newsroom.
Supporting Actress in a Drama Series
Anna Gunn, Breaking Bad. Especially if voters loved her Skyler White diatribe as much as we did.
Supporting Actor in a Drama SeriesAaron Paul, Breaking Bad, just edges out Mandy Patinkin.
TV Miniseries or Movie
Behind the Candelabra. We think this will win purely because everyone saw it, it was a lot of fun, and it involves lots of movie people.
Lead Actress in a Miniseries or Movie Series
Jessica Lange, American Horror Story. Even though we will never watch it.
Lead Actor in a Miniseries or Movie Series
Michael Douglas, Behind the Candelabra. There is no way the academy will pass up such a brilliant portrayal of a celebrity people still remember.
Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or Movie Series
Alfre Woodard, Steel Magnolias. We wish Alfre was in everything and we’re sure the voters do too.
Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or Movie Series
Scott Bakula, Behind the Candelabra. Though we do wish Rob Lowe had been nominated…
