Via.
I had this reaction to a lot of The 2015 Oscars.
Melissa posted her list earlier today (NAOMI WATTS) so check that out if you haven’t done so. I found the fashion kind of uneventful and I think I agree with my mother who said the Globes were better. I am happy that people didn’t wear a lot of black.
The Best
Patricia Arquette
This is the best she has looked this award season. I am so glad she pulled it together for the big show and did not end up looking like a frump. She gave a great speech and really deserved her win (though I would have been pleased if Laura Dern had pulled an upset).
Cate Blanchett
Yes this is a simple black velvet dress but Cate Blanchett can wear whatever she wants and DOES NOT have to impress the evil triangle of Khloe, Kelly, and Guiliana. Bonus points for one really awesome necklace.
Marion Cotillard
This is weird and yet I love it. I even love the butt pouf which is so very sixties.
Jenna Dewan Tatum
I loved this entire look, it’s very Hollywood.
Anna Faris
Anna looks great in this sparkly ballgown. If I were to nitpick I would say she could use a better lipstick.
America Ferrera
America’s earrings are divine. The dress is super pretty and very flattering.
Jennifer Hudson
JHud looks great in this pastel yellow color. The column silhouette is also super flattering but let’s be honest the real show stoppers are all the emeralds she is wearing.
Keira Knightley
My name is Katie and I really like twee clothes and those who can pull them off. Keira is the goddess of twee and I love the hell out of this.
Jennifer Lopez
This is my favorite! JLo is rocking the hell out of this ultra modern and sexy ballgown.
Julianne Moore
This dress really grew on me. I’m also really happy she finally won an Oscar.
Lupita Nyong’o
This dress did not photograph well but it is amazing. I love the use of the pearls and how they go from looking like necklaces to melting into a gown. I also love her face–she is truly one of the most beautiful women in the world.
Rosamund Pike
This woman looks divine in this really sexy red dress. I also would like to give her props for not thrusting her leg at us.
Margot Robbie
Like Cate, Margot made her simple black gown more interesting by wearing really impressive jewelry. The necklace is AMAZING. My one nitpick her hair looks super greasy.
Octavia Spencer
Octavia wore her go-to designer Tadashi Shoji and the fit and color are beautiful. Her earrings are also super amazing.
Emma Stone
More ladies should wear gold on the red carpet. It looks so good. I also love that this was a very green-gold. Hair and make-up are also really fantastic.
Oprah Winfrey
Oprah looks like a billion dollars!
Reese Witherspoon
Reese went the simple route with this white dress with black details. I think I loved her hair the most.
The hot hot dudes
Idris Elba
The worlds hottest man (if I got to pick such things) brought his daughter Isan as his date–super sweet! I could not get a very good picture of his suit.
Chiwetel Ejiofor
Chiwetel is rocking the simple tux like no one else.
David Oyelowo
David is making a strong case for men to wear more red.
Chris Pine
Chris Pine is channeling old school Hollywood with this nicely fitted double-breasted tux.
Michael Strahan
Melissa and I both talked about our love for Michael during our live blog so I had to include him.
The I shouldn’t love it but I do (The Keira Knightley Award)
Lady Gaga
BALL GOWN AND GLOVES! There was really no way I wasn’t going to love this. Good job Gaga!
The I kind of like it but there is something odd
Felicity Jones
Alexander McQueen is my favorite design house and I love Sarah Burton and I want so much to love this but there is just something off. I think it might be Felicity’s bangs. Or it’s the color which kind of washes her out. I included a close up of the beaded bodice because it’s exquisite. This dress probably took the longest to create and it makes me sad it’s not my favorite.
Chloe Grace Moretz
Melissa texted me that Chloe dressed for me and this is perfect for me. It’s a patterned ballgown and has bonus pockets. I just hate how she is puffing up the front with her hands in those pockets. From the side photo you can see that the fit is perfect (not drooping nor is it too tight) and her earrings are amazing.
Zoe Saldana
Despite what those idiots said on E! the fit of this gown is perfect. It is also very old Hollywood. I would have included this in the best section but her hair and make-up are super sad. Also and I hate to say this about diamonds but that necklace looks like you could have bought it at Claire’s.
The blue dudes
I think these are all Prada.
Ansel Elgort
If you compare Ansel to Eddie you can understand why we get so irate at dudes who don’t get their suits properly fit.
Miles Teller
Miles jacket needs to be slightly bigger but his fit is still so much better than Ansel’s.
Eddie Redmayne
Perfect fit as always. I’m shocked Eddie did not wear velvet.
The ummmmmm….
Scarlett Johansson
The fit and color are amazing but I want to rip that weird collar off of her. I don’t even know what is going on. It is so overwhelming.
Nicole Kidman
This dress could have been great. The color is gorgeous and the red belt is kicky but the styling is terrible. The accessories don’t really match and her hair is not good (I am however super pleased it’s more red than blond). I also think she is uncomfortable with that high of a slit.
And the nope, not going to like it
Dorith Mous
Dorith I do not know who you are nor am I willing to look you up. Your shoes are hideous and I feel like at any moment I might see your underpants or worse your vagina.

Where’s Anna Kendrick? I think she was my favorite.

She’s on MY post! I think she looked awesome.
