Movie Trailer Mondays

Each week I review movie trailers that came out the previous week or for movies that are about to premiere.   Some of these movies I am excited about, some I am mildly curious about, and the rest I make fun of!

Idris Elba, Charlie Hunnam and Rinko Kikuchi in Pacific Rim

Movies I can’t wait to see in an ACTUAL theater

Inside Llewyn Davis, TBA 2013

If you are a fan of all of our awesome social media outlets (our tumblr, Facebook, and our Twitter —also why are you not a fan of all of our social media outlets?) then you already know how excited we are about the new Coen Brothers movie, Inside Llewyn Davis.  Not only is Oscar Isacc hot with that beard (seriously dude don’t cut it off then you are NOT attractive) BUT our SLLS boyfriend Garrett Hedlund (COUNTRY STRONG) is also in the movie!

Pacific Rim, July 12, 2013

Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, Ron Perlman, Guillermo del Toro, giant monsters and GIANT ROBOTS–who has two thumbs and loved Voltron as a kid?  That’s right this smart lady!

I won’t go to an ACTUAL theater but will pay for it on Amazon

Byzantium, TBA 2013

This movie is the perfect late night Amazon rental, it’s about vampires and has British actors so you can con yourself into thinking it’s better than your standard vampire film (hey at least Gemma Arterton doesn’t sparkle! —oh, and thanks Twilight for ruining Vampires!).  This movie gets even more marks for casting Saoirse Ronan who is an amazing young actress (everyone should rent Hanna NOW!)

Somebody Up There Likes Me, TBA but it will be at the SXSW Film Fest in March

Depending on the reviews I might go see this in the theater, as it is it’s a definite Tuesday night buy the day it is available to rent. Nick Offerman makes EVERYTHING funny (yes Melissa I will spend time this summer watching Parks & Rec)! [This is the best news I have heard ALL WEEK! I can loan you my DVDs. -M]

You would have to PAY me to see it in an ACTUAL theater

Upside Down, March 15, 2013

“What if love was stronger than gravity,” what if you idiots understood gravitational pull than you could live together on either planet!  I will, sadly, probably drunk rent this on Amazon.  Also, I expect more from you, Kirsten Dunst and Jim Sturgess!
