Movie Trailer Mondays

Each week I review movie trailers that came out the previous week or for movies that are about to premiere.   Some of these movies I am excited about, some I am mildly curious about, and the rest I make fun of!

Biggest movie coming out this week

Oz the Great and Powerful, March 8, 2013

The James Franco as the Wizard from Oz film opens Friday, it looks both gorgeous and possibly dumb —let’s not forget that The Wizard of Oz AND Return to Oz were both frightening! [I walked out of Return to Oz. It gives me nightmares to this day and I am over thirty. I will not be seeing this movie. -M]

Movies I can’t wait to see in an ACTUAL theater

Mental, March 29, 2013

Toni Collette in an Australian family dramedy by the people who made Muriel’s Wedding I am SO there. [This looks amazing plus it reminds me of something Katie and I would see in college. I’m glad cute little movies like this are making their way to America again. -M]

About Last Night, February 14, 2014

This MOVIE looks amazing also bonus points for Joy Bryant liking to stare at a naked Michael Ealy (seriously who wouldn’t want to stare at the man naked?). [Why do we have to wait a year for this???? It’s probably going to be sexist but we will laugh at Kevin Hart anyway. Also I’m glad Adam Rodriguez continues to find work after being in CSI Miami, which was FULL of horrendous actors.-M]

I won’t go to an ACTUAL theater but will pay for it on Amazon

Disconnect, April 12, 2013

Jason Bateman in a movie that is not a comedy PLUS Alexander Skarsgard with a slight beer belly —this has “wait until is comes to cable” written all over it. [I am pro Jason Bateman with any kind of facial hair. HOT. I particularly loved his beard in The Sweetest Thing. -M]

You would have to PAY me to see it in an ACTUAL theater

The Conjuring, July 19, 2013

Just the other day I was like what has Lili Taylor been up to and guess what it this terribly scary movie about a haunted house —WHY?!? [I couldn’t watch the whole trailer because I hate scary movies but “Time of the Season” by The Zombies is a great trailer song! -M]
