Movie Trailer Mondays

Each week I review movie trailers that came out the previous week or for movies that are about to premiere.   Some of these movies I am excited about, some I am mildly curious about, and the rest I make fun of!

Biggest movie coming out this week

Star Trek Into Darkness

I’m hoping Melissa and I find the time to go see this this weekend (IT’S EUROVISION). [PJ will kill me if I see any JJ Abrams-related thing without him. Maybe we can see Peeples? -M]

Movies I can’t wait to see in an ACTUAL theater

The World’s End, August 23, 2013

I just recently re-watched Shaun of the Dead and became even more excited about this movie. I also might need to re-watch Spaced and The IT Crowd this summer. [I CAN’T BELIEVE THIS IS COMING OUT ALREADY. This is an opening night movie for me, I love Edgar Wright & the gang. -M]

Baggage Claim, September 27, 2013

I’m not gonna lie I LOVED Jumping the Broom and especially love Paula Patton (she is so cute). This movie also has Adam Brody and Jill Scott as her BFFs which makes me smile. AND lets not leave out all of the hot guys they have for her ex-boyfriends, Derek Luke, Taye Diggs, and Djimon Hounsou to name a few. [We will definitely see this together because no one else I know will love it like we do. Aww! -M]

I won’t go to an ACTUAL theater but will pay for it on Amazon

Captain Phillips, October 11, 2013

Normally a movie like wouldn’t interest me but I love Tom Hanks and will watch him in anything which is why I have seen Larry Crowne and Cast Away a million times thanks to both HBO and Cinemax. [Larry Crowne is one of the worst movies I have seen in the past ten years AKA since I’ve gotten pickier. Also this is called CAPTAIN PHILLIPS. It’s like they’re asking for it to bomb. -M]

You would have to PAY me to see it in an ACTUAL theater

One Direction: This Is Us, August 30, 2013

The only good thing about this trailer is Niall’s Irish accent. Part of me wants us, plus Brooke to go see this for the blog and then I realize that it might make me contemplate self harm. [There is no way I could sit through this without being intoxicated. -M]

Gravity, October 4, 2013

I watched this trailer one time and will not watch it again. It’s like every phobia I have, the dark, closed in space (those suits), and death. FUCK NO Sandra Bullock and George Clooney, even your winning smiles will not win me over to this movie.
