Movie Trailer Mondays

Each week I review movie trailers that came out the previous week or for movies that are about to premiere.   Some of these movies I am excited about, some I am mildly curious about, and the rest I make fun of!

RAWR…

Movies I can’t wait to see in an ACTUAL theater

The East (Currently at the Sundance Film Festival)

Ellen Page and ASkars in a creepy eco-terrorist movie…LOVE IT! This trailer is AWESOME. It is creepy and it doesn’t spoil anything, even though it has Ellen Page in voice over, but the only thing she is doing is reading the manifesto of the eco-terrorist group–genius!

Olympus Has Fallen (March 22, 2013)

I am super excited about this movie as I love in no particular order Aaron Eckhart, Angela Bassett, Morgan Freeman, and Gerard Butler (he tries so hard to be likable). It also looks like a dumb but fun disaster/terrorist movie where the hero saves the day.  What I hate is that the fucking trailer gives almost everything away, Ashley Judd appears to die, who the terrorist is, and even the explosions.  I wish Hollywood would trust moviegoers more.

I won’t go to an ACTUAL theater but will pay for it on Amazon

Dark Skies (February 22, 2013)

YAY just what everyone wanted a creepy alien abduction movie staring Josh Hamilton (I heart you) and Keri Russell (Felicity 4EVA).  I will totally watch this on pay cable on a Saturday in the afternoon and will ENJOY the HELL out of it.  I give the trailer demerits for explaining to us the complete plot.

You would have to PAY me to see it in an ACTUAL theater

The Smurfs 2

I loved the Smurfs as a child but these movies look TERRIBLE –I hope Neil Patrick Harris is getting paid TONS of money for being in this.

Evil Dead (April 12, 2013)

Here is the trailer for the original film starring Bruce Campbell I might watch it cause he is in it and horror movies from the days of yore are unintentionally hilarious.

Here is the trailer for the remake starring Jane Levy –a big fat stinking NO!!!
