Movie Trailer Mondays

Each week I review movie trailers that came out the previous week or for movies that are about to premiere.   Some of these movies I am excited about, some I am mildly curious about, and the rest I make fun of!

The Sapphires movie poster

Movies I can’t wait to see in an ACTUAL theater

The Sapphires, March 22, 2013

Chris O’Dowd is a terrific actor. I highly recommend The IT Crowd on Netflix (especially if you are at all down with nerd culture). This movie about an Australian girl group he manages singing to the troupes in Vietnam and it looks FANTASTIC! And it’s based on a TRUE STORY so Melissa will love it since it’s historical fiction and about a girl group (we all know how much she loves girl groups)! [I didn’t even know this existed and I will be planning a visit to your house, K, to see this movie! -M]

Admission, March 22, 2013

Tina Fey and Paul Rudd are beloved by SLLS and we can not wait for this movie. AND it opens on the same day as The Sapphires! [OMG double feature! Plus I work at a university so I’m glad to see my people represented in pop culture, even though I think she works at Yale. -M]

I won’t go to an ACTUAL theater but will pay for it on Amazon

The Internship, June 7, 12013

I love both Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson but there might just be TOO MUCH Google in this trailer.

The Company You Keep, April 5, 2013

I am a little hesitant when it comes to Shia Labeouf on one hand he was in Holes a fairly faithful adaptation of the AWESOME YA book by Louis Sachar on the other hand he was in Transformers. I’m not sure whether or not Robert Redford or Stanley Tucci can help but MAYBE. [ALSO EVEN STEVENS! -M]

You would have to PAY me to see it in an ACTUAL theater

6 Souls, April 5, 2013

I don’t care if this does star Julianne Moore, I would not go to see this movie nor will I watch it on cable.
