Smart ladies love movie trailers, the week in trailers April 29, 2013

Movie Trailer Mondays

Each week I review movie trailers that came out the previous week or for movies that are about to premiere.   Some of these movies I am excited about, some I am mildly curious about, and the rest I make fun of!

Biggest movie coming out this week

Greetings From Tim Buckley

Okay, okay so this is clearly NOT the biggest movie opening but I have already discussed the Iron Man 3 trailer in March so let’s look as, Lonely Boy Dan tries to do something legitimate after being in a CW show. FUN! So probably not fun seeing as he is playing Jeff Buckley, who died tragically at 30, whose father also a musician died tragically at a young age. It does appear to also be a rom-com! [I also mentioned this movie here, if you care about it from a music-nerd perspective. -M]

Movies I can’t wait to see in an ACTUAL theater

The Bling Ring, June 14, 2013

All right Melissa now that I have seen the full trailer I definitely want to see this in the theater WITH YOU. I mean Hermione Granger saying “I want to go rob,” is reason enough. Also I want throw pillows with my face on them like Paris Hilton. [OK LET’S DO IT. It’s not like my husband will go. Also this will be the greatest movie of our time. -M]

Thor, The Dark World, November 8, 2013

I loved Thor! I love Tom Hiddleston even with long Asgard prison hair. I also love Kat Dennings. [What? Kat Dennings is in this? I am really excited now, casting directors of the world. -M]

I won’t go to an ACTUAL theater but will pay for it on Amazon

The Lone Ranger, July 3, 2013

Things I thought when I watched this trailer: 1) I apparently really like Barry Pepper for I exclaimed “oh, Berry Pepper,” when he appeared, who knew? 2) Helena Bonham Carter and Johnny Depp need to stop making movies together and 3) Ruth Wilson makes everything much more watchable. [I have a strange love of Armie Hammer. Also, per imdb, there is a girl in this movie whose character is called “Specialty- Fire Fingers.” -M]

You would have to PAY me to see it in an ACTUAL theater

Grown Ups 2, July 12, 2013

Chris Rock and Kevin James deserve better than this. (I am very happy this isn’t another horror film neither Melissa nor I can watch the trailer for.) [Although, as Katie said to me in a text, this is a horror movie of another kind. How do sequels to movies no one remembers get made? I could not have told you who was in Grown Ups 1 for a million dollars. I probably would have said The Rock. -M]
