Smart ladies love movie trailers, the week in trailers June 17, 2013

Movie Trailer Mondays

Each week I review movie trailers that came out the previous week or for movies that are about to premiere. Some of these movies I am excited about, some I am mildly curious about, and the rest I make fun of!

Biggest movie coming out this week

World War Z

I really, really wish that Mireille Enos costumed like her character on The Killing, can’t she ever be free from the sweater, pony tale, and worried look –she does appear to be a better mother here though. However I am still very excited about the prospect of learning what one should do if you are on a plane with zombies. [I feel like I’m going to have to see this after making my husband watch the new Channing Tatum movie for my birthday. Brad Pitt has self-diagnosed himself as having face blindness, just an FYI. -M]

Movies I can’t wait to see in an ACTUAL theater

In a World…, August 9, 2013

I’m not certain I can contain my excitement for a movie that has Lake Bell, Nick Offerman, and TIG NOTARO! It also looks adorable and really funny! [Lake Bell is fantastic. I do not want to wait two months to see this! -M]

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, December 13, 2013

LEE PACE and SMAUG…also Orlando Bloom and stupid Evangeline Lilly (I hope she is less annoying as an elf as she was as Kate on Lost, plus I’m sure she will be better than Liz Tyler’s Arwen) look like they are going to kick-ass and fall in love (AWWW). [I love Evangeline Lilly and I think she is super pretty SO THERE! -M]

I won’t go to an ACTUAL theater but will pay for it on Amazon

Diana, TBA

Naomi Watts looks amazing and I’m glad they are focusing on all of the humanitarian work Diana did. I will wait to weigh in too heavily for a full trailer. [I am already planning to force my friend A to see it with me because I am too shameful to see this crap alone. -M]

You would have to PAY me to see it in an ACTUAL theater

Magic Magic, TBA

Dear Michael Cera, I am NOT ok with this movie you have made here. PLEASE consult SLLS before making anymore of these scary life choices. [I am dismayed at the number of actors we love who do these terrible horror movies. Are the salaries really good? Are the movie sets known for great craft services? I don’t get it. -M]
