I’m SO TIRED of these deadlocks, week after week. How hard was it for one person to vote differently? Because of this deadlock, nonsinger Stevi Ritchie stayed over war hero and dad Jay James.
One good thing happened this week: SLLS favorite and former X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger performed. We will remember it always because it gave us this gif:
I will never forget you, Nicole. You ARE freaking shamazing.
Best rehash of last week
We got more footage of the mysterious ninth member of Stereo Kicks!
Best friendship, judges
Cheryl & Mel just keep getting cuter.
Best friendship, contestants
Fleur + everyone.
Shame on you, children
Only two boys in Stereo Kicks knew the song “Mack the Knife.” Even though I was a riot grrrl in high school, that was my FAVORITE song. Get on my level.
Best mentor moment
I loved when Mel B. took Andrea on the double decker bus!
There was so much of that again this week!
Most unfortunate shoes
These totally make poor Fleur look stump-legged.
I did find Stevi and his old American Dream (WTF you live in England) pal super cute.
Ugh, Jay James. No wonder you were sent home.
I didn’t enjoy any of the performances this week except two, so I have pretended the rest didn’t happen (I hate when boybands just switch lead 74987986 times like Stereo Kicks did and Lauren Platt is getting more boring by the minute) Like Simon, I actually think Fleur East could take this whole thing now. She would certainly be my favorite winner since Little Mix.
I normally don’t like when contestants perform a song that they did in the audition rounds, but this was completely different. Smart of her to not try to sing an old song that did not fit her personality.
I fear Only the Young are going to tour the preschool circuit, but you can’t deny how energetic and fun this is. The kid that sang lead looked like he was going to puke for the whole two and a half minutes, though.
